Upper Extremity Ergonomics
Our Upper Extremity Ergonomics Program is appropriate for computer workstations, laboratories and small assembly or inspection operations. It has been our experience that ergonomic programs work best with a high degree of employee involvement. Our goal with ergonomic services is to “work ourselves out of a job” through formation of a team of experts at your facility who maintain your ergonomic program.
Our Services include:
- Ergonomic History Review and Analysis
We review OSHA logs and incident reports to identify where ergonomic problems have occurred.
- Ergonomic Solutions Team Facilitation
We meet with management and employee groups to form an Ergonomic Team to gather more information.
- Ergonomic Training
Training is provided to the Ergonomic Solutions Team and then to employee groups.
- Ergonomic Solutions
After training the Ergonomic Solutions Team we work with them to identify high risk job tasks and identify solutions. In some cases it is appropriate to test several solutions and solicit feedback from the employees who are performing the jobs. We strive to achieve a balance between proper ergonomic job performance and employee acceptance.
